In Move More Morph It!, live electronics play a pivotal role in shaping the transformative atmosphere of Anna Konjetzky's choreographic work. As the composer, my focus was to create a sonic landscape that evolves in tandem with the dancers, reflecting the fluidity and interconnectivity at the heart of the piece.
The live electronics act as an extension of the performers’ movements, generating sounds that range from subtle textures to pulsating rhythms. Using real-time processing, the soundscape morphs and shifts in response to the dancers’ energy, creating an immersive dialogue between body and sound. This interplay highlights the constant state of transformation that defines the piece, amplifying the themes of change and interconnectedness.
The integration of live electronics allows for a unique, organic sound world that is never static—always moving, adapting, and reshaping itself. The sonic elements blend seamlessly with the minimalist stage design, creating an auditory environment that feels alive, as if it breathes and moves alongside the performers.
Move More Morph It! is a project that celebrates the synergy between music and movement, where live electronics become an active participant in the choreography.
