PRECIOUS CAMOUGLAGE
In Precious Camouflage, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into the musical composition process serves as a profound exploration of human-AI collaboration. As the composer, I engaged in a dynamic interplay with AI, allowing it to both inspire and be inspired by human creativity.
AI-Initiated Composition:
Utilizing AI music generation platforms, I prompted the AI to produce initial musical ideas—melodies, harmonies, or rhythmic patterns. These AI-generated fragments, often unexpected and novel, provided a foundation upon which I could build. By analyzing and interpreting these outputs, I infused them with human emotion and context, transforming raw AI suggestions into cohesive musical expressions that resonate with the thematic essence of the dance piece.

The dancers repeatedly challenge the notion that the human body retains agency and decision-making power when interacting with artificial intelligences.
